Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms govern your use of EssayHow, including paper rating, feedback, voice analysis, humanization, subscriptions, free features, and related services. By using EssayHow or purchasing a plan, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility and Minors

EssayHow is not intended for children under 13 unless a compliant parental-consent process is expressly provided. Users under the age of majority may use the Services only where permitted by applicable law and, where required, with parent or guardian involvement.

3. Academic Integrity

You are responsible for complying with your school, university, professor, examination body, scholarship, employer, or other applicable rules. Do not use EssayHow to impersonate another author, fabricate research or citations, misrepresent sources, commit fraud, or violate academic-integrity requirements. Humanization is not guaranteed to evade AI-detection, plagiarism, or institutional review systems.

4. Your Content

You retain the rights you have in content you submit. You grant EssayHow a limited license to process, transmit, analyze, transform, store temporarily, and otherwise use the content as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Services. You must have the right to submit the content.

5. AI and Third-Party Processing

EssayHow may send relevant text and instructions to third-party AI and infrastructure providers, including Anthropic and OpenAI, depending on the feature and configuration in use. Remove unnecessary sensitive information such as passwords, payment details, government identifiers, or medical information before submission.

6. Accounts and Acceptable Use

Keep your account credentials secure. Do not create accounts to evade limits, suspension, or fair-use controls. You may not interfere with the Service, bypass security, overload systems, distribute malware, commit fraud, or resell unauthorized access.

7. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation

Paid plans may renew automatically unless canceled before renewal. Limits and allowances may apply. Unless a plan expressly states otherwise, unused allowances do not have cash value and do not roll over. Cancellation generally stops future renewal charges but does not automatically refund the current billing period. Payments may be processed through Lemon Squeezy or another authorized provider.

8. Service Availability

EssayHow may modify or discontinue features and may impose reasonable limits to protect reliability. Availability may be affected by maintenance, AI-provider outages, network issues, or security events.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. EssayHow does not guarantee uninterrupted service, a particular score, a professor’s agreement with automated feedback, acceptance by an institution, or a particular detection outcome.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EssayHow is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost grades, academic penalties, lost data, or lost profits. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, aggregate liability is limited as described in the applicable Terms and by mandatory law.

11. Suspension and Termination

EssayHow may suspend or terminate access for violations, fraud, security risk, abuse, or harmful use. You may stop using the Services at any time.

12. Governing Law and Changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, except where mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence cannot lawfully be waived. We may update these Terms and will post the updated effective date.
